Lake Erie - Big Waves! Sept. 09

The forecast was calling for 14'-16' waves by daybreak the next day. I'm guessing that these waves ranged from 7'-10' with the occasional bigger wave.
Winds were WSW changing to WNW with gusts up to 50mph. I could only imagine what Buffalo New York looked like.
Video taping these waves while standing on a 8' tall breakwall certainly do not do these waves justice.

Those sure are some big waves! I really find these wave sounds very relaxing! I used to live in Lakewood years ago and always enjoyed going to Edgewater Park!

i live down near chicago, the waves get pretty solid in winter when the ice is gone, its good longboarding if you dont mind the cold water

Those are huge. Had a 63 mph gust today, same result 16' waves.
