In my teaching I like to be as specific as possible and I stress always moving with a clear plan that also addresses your opponent's plans. Although the idea of moving pieces towards the center is a rather general idea unrelated to your opponent's move, ultimately, all of your moves should be in relation to the moves your opponent makes. In the first few beginner videos I will discuss general principles to guide your play, in later ones we get more specific.
Sorry David and all others, I haven't finished the basic video. But there are other more advanced videos on the website. @BKKaye Nor have I finished lesson 1.2. My plan is to create a series of beginner videos to get players up to speed so they can fully utilize what I teach in my book, The Six Power Moves of Chess.
@Davidebassman Chess Lesson 2 is now available on YouTube.
