  • @jmotz3 I agree. I don't like his playing either. He's great "at what he does" thats why he's on countless jazz and pop sessions etc as a lead player. BUT I don't care for him as a jazz soloist because I don't like his sound either.

  • @jmotz3 Your comment shows how ignorant you are, considering the fact that Jon Faddis is one of the greatest all-around trumpet players in the world. Everyone is different man, everyone has had to sound like someone before they develop they're own sound. You have right to your opinion even if its based on limited kniowledge of style, syntax, harmony, rhythm and knowledge of Jazz. Theyr'e all great, they all have their individual style and all swing differently.
