@dragonreborn888 SO WELL PUT!
-
He basically reinvented the violin. :)
-
Zappa never used drugs, and he was beyond original

Inspiration for Laurie Anderson?

Yo Merv Griff...wow!
Love this ditty.

This must be one of the first live and widely exposed examples of looping with a pedal for backing rhythms!

@dragonreborn888 jean-luc and his company couldn't play under the influence just for the simple fact of how complex his work was but being a musician myself, I can tell you when it comes to creating music.. marijuana opens your mind in ways you can't otherwise explain.

I guess it just bothers me. People confuse musical originality with drugs. I think drugs put people's souls in chains and drag them down.

@dragonreborn888 ,,,not necessary. It's not important.-thanks
@srvera I was Jean-Luc's Sound Roadie from Sept 77 to Nov 79. After about 200 shows I never saw him use anything stronger than a good red wine.
@ gouge1lt As far as the delay JLP was using an "echoplex" when I first started working for him in 77. In 1978 we set hiom up with a pair of MXR digital delays which should be what he was using on this TV gig (I built and wired the actual rack that held that equipment).
I hope that helps.
