Post-tsunami Sri Lanka - Five years on

It was a giant wave bowling in at 200 kilometres per hour destroying everything in its path. The tsunami of the 26th December 2004 killed more than 230,000 people. 
 
After the disaster, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, 11-billion euros in aid flowed into NGO coffers.
 
In Sri Lanka, the country worst affected after Indonesia, the tsunami also made more than half a million people homeless.

There is need for a better Sri Lanka. The government is corrupt. :| and the law is not tight enough. They need to strengthen the law first, train goverment services properly, hire young staff to work efficiently and train police to obey rules and regulations themselves! It is then that true prosperity and peace cld reign in this land.

Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia are good examples for Sri Lankans. Their people never betrayed the leaders and they were grateful to give them a strong support to build their nation to the prosperity. Unfortunately, ignorant, short-sited, non patriotic groups in Sri Lanka betray the nation by playing to the tunes of evil foreign conspirators and the agent (the lowest living sole on earth, Ranil). Generations of this nation will curse these traitors.
