This is Teddy Bear who arrived as a ten year old four years ago with terrible skin from poor feed all his years. The blue tarp looks aweful but we needed to provide more shade and yes Torilla behind him got some too. These pigs live at there forever home here at Hearts On Noses, A Mini Pig Sanctuary . • And a "pig in the blanket" here IS a pig in a blanket ;o))

  • Yes dose her with Ivo , the orange tinge is a classic symptom of mange . And very important that you dose her again in 10-14 days!!!

also get her spayed , females are prone to massive uterin tumours.

Feed her up with Mazuir youth if you have it there!

  • what a cutie! my pot-belly, boris, loves his apple sauce and vanilla yogurt. peanut butter is the messiest though, because it sticks to his tusks! :)

  • We always use peanut butter sandwhiches here to hide the wormer or meds in. I have only known o0ne pig named Boris..did you adopt him from a rescuer?

  • no, actually we rescued him from a disreputable breeder of pot-bellied pigs in rural tennesee. we named him 'boris' after a friend from germany :)

  • Well thankfully you have Boris then.. do you know of the Tennessee Pot Bellied Pig Club ?

  • Am I the only one who sees the irony of a pig being fed apple sauce?

    Btw I am vegetarian :)

  • Awe! My poor little pig is only 5 months. I just got her a few days ago. The woman who gave her to me was feeding her a terrible feed. I'm not really sure if she just has dry skin from that, or a mild case of mange. She is a little orange between the shoulder blades, but not much. I would take her to the vet, but no one will see a pig here. I'm guessing I should just treat her with the Ivomec, just in case. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

  • He's getting spoiled ;)

  • aw, i love it when nice animals get happy endings

  • Feed and he shall eat!

  • yeah, actually i do, :) but i moved to florida shortly after adopting boris. i wonder if there is an equivalent here?
