He did answer it as such, it was actually a deep answer and he was trying to illustrate the temporary nature of happiness. As it says in the Bhagavad Gita As It Is, happiness and distress are like winter and summer seasons, one must learn to tolerate them equally. So, as Jordan says, happiness is like that, it goes up and down. Noone can really paint a blanket and say 100 percent happy or 100 percent sad, there is a mix, and his example was meant to be a reflection of that.

It is possible that he was nervous.And there are A LOT of people out there who can read great but have a little trouble when they read out loud...Jordan is AMAZING!
