The healthcare system chugs along slowly while millions are getting run over by a steamroller. Many people cannot afford health insurance. Some cannot get it at all. This is knock on the Healthcare system in the US. I'm trying to laugh while I pay $1717.46 in Cobra Insurance and unemployed.

However, judging from the e-mail I'm getting...and No, I'm not dying...not yet anyway. My friends, including myself, that are caught up in the medical process, I'm finding the stories all VERY similar.

Recommendation...if the Doctor says you have a problem (outside of immediate surgery), listen to them and follow their advise before taking medication, if at all possible. Drugs have a tendency to mask the problem, not solve it. Plus, being part of a medical study to see if a particular medication works is NOT on my priority list.

My favorite Henny Youngman joke...Doctor gave this guy 6 months to live, couldn't pay his bill so, he gave him another 6 months.

@adamwittek Hi Adam: Sounds like quite a project. I'm sure you will have plenty of participants. Health Harm is an additional issue. Over 100,000 people die each year from being in the hospital. wrong medication, infections, etc. That makes it the 3rd leading cause of death, I think. On the flip side, they did save my life! So, where's the balance. Turbo
