Jordan Betten is the founder of Lost Art and Betten Art. Lost Art, born of necessity began 11 years ago and is essentially a leather goods company. At age 25, Betten came to New York to continue the modeling career he began in Europe years before. Upon arrival he decided to hand make a portfolio bag for his own use.

Soon after, Betten was crafting clothing for magazine shoots with the likes of Vogue, W, Rolling Stone and Elle. Immediately following his success came endless requests to make everything from bags to pants to bikinis. Celebrities including Heidi Klum, Julia Roberts, Steven Tyler, and Shakira, among many others, became obsessed with Bettens one-of-a-kind pelts and skins and were willing to pay any price to have them. Lenny Kravitz, being the largest collector of Lost Art spent an entire tour swathed in the hand made treasures.

In November, 2008, Betten launched another venture in the form of his much sought after paintings called Betten Art. On November 6th, Betten held an art opening and sale in his West Chelsea loft that was so well received most of his 40 paintings sold within an hour of opening his doors. Though Betten has been painting for years, this show, entitled Continuous Line was his first presented to the public. His work has been compared to Jackson Pollock and he already has collectors hoarding multiple pieces desperately waiting for his next unveiling.
