You live in a great location, big garden, lovely foliage around and little traffic. Excellent.

how big is that pool???

We went to Sams and bought those hard rubber black mats that click together and put it under ours. For our 15X42 it took 6 packages and then 1 package from Toy R Us of the color mats that is used by the ladder.

I didn't have the heart to tell her, but you're right.
The surface area of the 12'x3' pool is 113.04ft^2. Moving to the third dimension, we get a volume of 339.12ft^3. This converts to 2,536.79377 US Gallons. A Gallon of water weighs in at 8.345404lbs, meaning the water in the pool weighs 21,170.5689lbs. This is a (VERY) low estimate, as we're not accounting for the volume of water in the bowed out sides.
TL;DR - Ten and a half tons of water will compress the sh!t out of anything.

Little physics lesson....
The pool weight will compress any ground you set it on...it will be rock hard on the bottom no matter where you set it....

Can I come over and frollic in your "indoor" pool?

The water pressure here in downtown E-City SUCKS BAD. All told, it took close to 10 hours to fill that pool. Around here, you can't take a shower while the washing machine's running, because every time the washer goes into a rinse cycle, it all but stops the water flowing to the shower. It's not just our house either, everyone around here has issues with it. :(
