Why Lexx is the best show ever

This is my favorite scene in the lexx, not only because its just fraking awesome, but because I am 4th soldier on the right. Yes, thats right...I got to be a bad guy's henchman in the coolest show ever made. Autographs are available for a limited time only!

"I Worship His Shadow" is episode one of season 1. This scene stars Walter Bordon as voice of "His Divine Shadow" and Jocelyn Cunningham plays the Cluster Major, and Horst Ulan is the Cluster General. His Divine Shadow is physically played, of course, by the legendary Lex Gigeroff.

upclose the costume was really thin latexy, like balloon material. the helmets were really thin plastic and the costumes were too...stretchy and thin. it was cold...and the light circle was made by a huge cardboard cylinder (corrugated cardboard) about 10 feet above us. The lexx deck was really solid and metal with tons of silicone, but all the ship sets were cardboard and styrofoam, like if we touched the bridge of the ship we were on, the entire thing would move, you could pick it up easily

I always thought Lexx started in a weird place. It started with the death of the previous Divine Shadow and already established Stanley's history as a spineless traitor and coward. It feels like your jumping in right in the middle of the saga, which actually kinda works for it.

Anyway always thought Hid Divine Shadow was too underplayed, he was an awesome villain, that voice is just amazing and the physical actor manages to have this eerie presence to him.

Watching again today... it really is scenes like THIS that make Lexx so unique and stand out compared to other (equally great) shows like Farscape (often compared to) or B5... there's just a really dark vibe in Lexx that somehow fits so well with the humor of the show. This scene is a perfect example of this, where sadistic horror is also blackly hilarious!

Lexx hard core fan like say never missed an episode BUT when i saw this scene i remember bein pulled in more for hearing his shadow XD what was his shadow costume like? up close i'm mean XD
