@xfernandox777 If you're talking about before he went to prison: If you were treated like crap by the government, what would you have done? Sit there and do nothing, or fight? The Black people of South Africa have been treated like crap by the pre-apartheid and apartheid governments. DF Malan is no different. And Mandela wasn't trying to exterminate White people. The ANC went away from the freedom charter when Mandela stepped down, that's when the gov't went bad.

@rfitzhen Smuts was no good either. He was a racist too, just like Malan. Just two sides of the same coin. If the politician is pro-apartheid, I don't like that politician. As a Black man, if I lived in South African during the rule of D.F. Malan, I would hate it because he got the official apartheid policy. I am so glad I was born in the USA in the 1980's. I can vote and have a say. If I was in South Africa in 1950, I wouldn't have such good things that I currently have.
