  • Thats awesome. I'm wondering why u arranged the two barrels in that way. Wat if u put them aligned exactly instead of crisscrossing them if u get wat im saying. And could you put on 3 barrels?

  • They are aligned that way to catch the wind better from random directions for initial starting, and to make it smoother. Some people have built them the way you describe though. On the three barrel question, the answer is yes. I am currently building a 6 barrel system and will have a video up for that before winter hits.

  • Thanks I sorta want to build one of these myself and its cool how u found cheap ways to do it. Good luck with the six barreled one.

  • Thanks. Six Barrel Video is up now. Look at my channel page to find it if you are interested.

  • m/s and how mutch watt?

  • Well done! Thank you for uploading. I remember when you built these. One thing though. Please for the love of,, take the bright white stickers off.

  • Please look at some of my other videos where we have tackled most of these issues, including the magnetic levitation bearing.

  • Vibration, noise, safety, maintenance, efficiency, and zoning issues. This is why PV panels are currently the renewable energy equipment of choice in most urban settings, but there are some brilliant designers who have found ways to eliminate most of these problems with helical turbines.

  • this is just a bare bones wind generator if you wanted to reduce noise you woud use a flange mounted bearing... probly with a 2" steel center or... you couold make a drive shaft out of carbon fiber epoxy and a circular mold if you really wanted to make it ligher

  • How much energy it generate? I think a super high gear ratio can do the magic generating more than a kWatt.
