@guitarbeasts the dub was his own voice. Even Frank had his voice dubbed. I do know that it took a lot of takes to get the recording of his voice and the video in sync, but anyone still learning would have that problem. And, personally, I love that Marlon's speaking cadences match his singing cadences, but I realize that's a matter of preference.

@herecomesshortlimbs Marlon Brando couldn't sing, he had a dub go over the video and match his lips perfectly, and also his singing voice sounded exactly like Brando's speaking voice
-
Okay, so maybe he wasn't the greatest singer, but even if he couldn't hit all the notes, he gave it character, which is more important

Am I the only one who prefers Marlon Brado's version of this song? I thought he did a fantastic job.
-
I just gotta say, the musical is WAY better than this
-
@herecomesshortlimbs he couldnt sing very well so they did some editing to make it sound like he could sing

@bongodrumms Thank you for posting this. I was about to write it too. He was an interesting man and I am glad they got a good song out of ALL of that work.

It really isn't fair to compare this to Frank Sinatra's version. Marlon Brando wasn't a singer at all. He got the part for his acting, and it's pretty impressive that he managed to sing a song like this well. If Frank never did it, the only thing anyone would be saying in the comments is "Wow, I didn't know Marlon Brando could sing."
