How would I change this knot to make it into a Fiador knot? I can tie this one almost with my eyes closed (thanks to your video of course :) ) but I am having trouble tying a Fiador knot. Thanks for all the great videos!!

Much better at showing how the knot is formed than the St. Anthony method. Also doesn't require 3 ft. of extra cord to do all the wrapping around the fingers.

could you use 10mm SOFT COTTON BRAIDED ROPE for decorative knots. I am finding it difficult to find the 1/4 inch solid braided knot on the internet.

I've been wrestling with this knot for HOURS!! It just now dawned on me that when you form the beginning "carrick bend", you MUST ensure that both bitter ends exit at opposing sides! I kept trying to form it with the bitter ends exiting the same side & I can tell you from experience, it just wont work. I got it now.... Anyway, thanks again JD.
