As much as they want to, parents usually spend rare quality time with their children. Focused on work and financial stability, they sometimes forget that bonding with family is also necessary for solidarity and expression of care and love. Just like my parents. My brother and I often feel bad because they never attend meetings and other family activities in our school. As growing teens, we try to understand them and make everything fine. But there are times that we really look and anticipate for their presence. A simple movie date will do, or a short vacation to our grandparent's house. Those are some examples of activities that we wished for.

One time when our parents got home from work, we were totally taken aback when we received good news from them. They said that we are going to a trip altogether. Dad was granted a leave and Mom was recently promoted. That was really nice to hear for that great news really should call for a celebration. It seems that miracles do happen as the Lord listened to our prayers. My Dad spilled the information that we are bounded for Boracay. Everybody became too excited and impatiently waited for the calendar to fall on that proposed date. Days were fast approaching and the look on our faces spelled excitement. The moment finally arrived as we packed our things and flew to Boracay. No wonder it is recognized to be one of the world's best beaches and tourist destinations. It really offers so much to its visitors. We looked around and searched for a cheaper Boracay hotel for our accommodation. We never got tired in scouting because many hotels in Boracay are stationed side by side each other. So convenient, these infrastructures get full-packed during peak seasons-an information given by a local food seller. We tried water activities and had so much fun swimming at the beach. Our parents can't help but be happy for us. They told me that my brother and I were like mice's chasing and playing while the cat is away. The best part of the whole stay was the food. All were very delicious and satisfying to my palate, respectively. It was a great experience that we bonded as a family even if only for a short course. How I wish to go back there for the second time around, together with them once again. I really can't wait of that day.
