I am very humbly requesting any fellow youtubers out there if they will take it upon themselves to make their own video to continue to increase awareness, to share it with everyone, because I truly believe there is strength in numbers. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. It can be short and simple.

Knowing she's been imprisoned for years, and for no reason It's cruel and pitiful that she stay confined when she knew her husband was very ill. She was not able to be by his side when he died of cancer, but I know in my heart they were both in each other's thoughts and souls during Michael's last days of life. I'm sure they both were in one another's minds and hearts every single day.

Write a school paper on her if you are allowed to pick the person. To any teachers out there -- Please have one day of awareness, teaching your students about what democracy is, how precious freedoms are. Introduce your students to Aung San Suu Kyi. She represents freedom, democracy, elegance and grace.

This video has been honored in the past. It was humbling.

I know to some degree about Burma,however i have watched all youtube videos about this wonderful Country and this beautiful warrior Aung San Suu Kyi and how there suffering. i just bought a book from borders called: "The River of Lost Footsteps" by Thant Myint-U this is my first book about Burma and Aung San Suu Kyi. i am learning more about whats happening and i joined several websites in relations with freeing Burma from this ruthless Dictator and his Regime.

Suu Kyi is kissing up to the west, who won't bring "democracy" but will bring you bombs. Whereever NATO goes, whether it be Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan whereever there will be destruction. Suu Kyi, kissing up to America is a bad bad idea and pictures of you kissing Clinton's ass has destroyed your political career...

@rubearo You made a good point. When Al Gore, a very unsuccessful CON ARTIST and pathological liar, won...well...that was the downfall of the Nobel Peace Prize. After that, I expected someone like Than Shwe to be a recipient. Then it came out how Al Gore is nothing but a fraud and his global warming was nothing but lies, lies, lies to try and create more taxation, among other things. What a d-bag. However, it just goes to show people many scientists come with a cheap price tag.

@Gothikification When Yitzhak Rabin was murdered, before any1 knew who did it, at a very tense time, Arafat secretly went to the home of Rabin's granddaughter, to tell her himself he had nothing to do w/ Rabin's assassination. That takes balls, where, at the time, every1 was thinking an Arab killed Rabin. It was a Jewish man and fellow Israeli who killed him. Rabin & Shimon Perez also received that same award for working together for peace. Warmongers didn't like peace, my friend.

President Carter got the peace prize too. You know Obama was nominated for the Nobel Peace prize twelve days after taking office. Upon acceptance of winning it, Obama was praised by the committee, "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy". . They also gave the peace prize to Yasser Arafat, the leader of the PLO, the best known terrorist organization on the globe. This is like giving it to David Duke, the former Grand Wizard of the KKK.
