The big language barrier in China allows the following kind of scam to flourish...

(Shanghai, like most of China can either be a fantastic experience, or the worst experience of your life, I'm going to fill you in on some of the common and not so common scams / cons / tricks and nonsense, from silly to downright dangerous, Armed with this knowledge you should be able to avoid most of the pitfalls this city (and many other Chinese cities) can throw at you.)

  • This might be an old vlog but you know, the CEO of TaoBao ("chinese eBay") learned english by starting off like this... offering foreign people assistance and guidance in turn for "english 101". I think not all people are scammers though I still liked your video. :)
