    Actually , Matthew Vaughn and Bryan Singer have said that the goal was neither to confirm nor deny any previous films in the franchise`s place in canon but simply to start fresh as if this was a new franchise and then let the viewers decide what timeline they prefer The Films to follow in their personal headcanons . So , it`s neither a prequel nor a reboot but something in between .
