@slashbcrich Funny, I sometimes play Am and C thumbover to mute the 6th string and have never been bothered changing chords. I just don't slide my thumb up if it's going to mess with me. If it bothers you though, by all means keep your thumb down. That's why there are all sorts of styles!

@HaploGrope I don´t want to start a Youtube argument here, but I disagree about it being only a matter of style and taste. The reason you would want to use your thumb like that is to get a more steady grip. But it also makes you move your hand a lot when switching to barre chords, like when he moves from Am to F. So if he would like to play this song double speed it would be nearly impossible if he had to move his hand that much every time he's changing chords. Fretkillr btw was AWESOME thx.

@gratefulmike58 Nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@slashbcrichIt's the hobo method! Learn to play that way and you'll never have to stop jammin to hitch a ride! No really though, plenty of folk play with their thumb up, it's just a matter of style and taste... Check out fretkillr if you have any doubts!

It must be really hard to play with your thumb all the way back there, so good job anyways. ;)
