The thing I remember most about sailing on her sister ship Huron was that every square foot was used wisely either for armement or for radar/radio platforms...as a radio operater onboard we had lots of equipment compartments all over the place. What a great ship these were in their time...awsome job on this build Mike, AWSOME!!!

Nice! I modelled her the way I saw her in the 70's on aGreat Lakes Port of calls, actually was in my 12 ft aluminum boat right beside her talking to the crew, now a days I would've been blown out of the water.
Was never a big fan when they took the bunny funnels away and squared her stacks but still a fine ship. Bunny funnels gave her character.
