Windows 7 beta vs Mac os X 10.5.6

this is a test for see if windows 7 is a good OS
Pc is: sony vaio fz18e wint 1.83ghz 1gb of ram
Mac is: Mac mini 1.83ghz buy on 2008

Testing start-up speeds on different machines does not conclude one OS is better than another.

@ftdj Very close, since Apple makes their own hardware it probably functions better than lower-end hardware (I'm guessing) on the laptop. Plus laptops tend to run slower than desktops too, but anyway, my original point, start-ups don't tell which OS is better, just which starts up faster. :P

I counted a 5 seconds quicker with the mac

Ok woop dee do.. we have 5 seconds more life

XP: low security, DX9 and buggy

Vista: bad compatibility, ran games slower, used too much memory.. looked good but even more buggy than XP

Windows7 however has the looks of vista + more.. AND it preforms better than XP

Faster booting, better compatibility, uses less memory, supports DX11, no longer buggy..

I think Windows 7 should have changed the looks a bit, people are scared to try it....

@ftdj It depends how much of your computers resources are being used up to run the OS. UNIX uses less than MS-DOS

@pascbjumper2 the mac mini use hardware of laptop. 5200rpm and RAM is DDR2 as the sony vaio. this was a boot test, only a boot test.
