I would rather Tom Cruise have an American accent than a bad German one. I am assuming he was unable to do a good German accent so chose not to do one at all.

Anyway, just to join the debate, Britain swore to protect Poland, so it did care, and it was only because Chamberlain was so stuck on his policy of appeasement that Hitler got away with taking the Sudetenland and then Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain wanted to keep peace, he just went the wrong way about it.

Hey not for nothing, but just because Germany steam-rolled all of those aforementioned countries that in no way means that the UK didn't give a shit about them. AND the US got pulled in by Brittania, not because they wanted their own ass saved, it was because they realized that if we don't all dog pile germany they WOULD WIN.. We all needed to help one another to defeat Germany. If it weren't for mother Russia we'd be sprechender Deutscher.

Well, Britain wasn't militarily relevant anywhere in World War 2 except in the North African theater. Looking at how things ran: Britain didn't give a fuck about Czechoslovakia, didn't give a fuck about Poland, didn't give a fuck about Denmark and Norway, didn't give a fuck about Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands and didn't give a fuck about France. Britain did little/nothing to defend its Allies, yet it wanted all the help in the world from the USA to defend itself. Britain was irrelevant
