  • call me stupid but is this model based on the junction just SE of Worcester?

  • @GWR5164

Hi there yep certainly is! Do you know the location? I spent a lot of time there in the late 60s early 70s hence the layout. We have altered the track slightly - the up loop was only a refuge siding and had no direct connection to the Worcester line - but other than that have tried to keep it as close to the real thing as possible. Hope you like it!

    Kind regards

    Phil

I know the location, but only in photographs although I don't live to far away from there. I think the layout is brilliant the sound just adds another realm to the layout. Don't like to admit it being as I'm a kettle enthusiast but I do like the time period modelled but that's not something I'm going to repeat again!

Well there are a few Castles, Jubilees etc lurking and waiting their time - but the steam sound chips will need to get better before we go for full steam operation I think!

    Cheers Phil

  • Close shave at 4:56 - nearly lost the load! Great video!

Ah yes the recalcitrant dogfish. Better get the back to back gauge out.... was just about to stop filming, then it re-railed itself!

  • Thanks for kind comment

Did debate getting an actual photographic backscene made up but then saw this Gaugemaster backscene. Started installing it from the left hand end - thats where the Morganite Crucible factory is just off scene - and followed it round. It was spooky! Looked brilliant - there was even a hill where Bredon Hill should be and a wood where Perry Wood should be. So very happy with it! and many who have seen it in the flesh have made similar comments. So highly recommended.
