The Royal Monastery of Brou is a religious complex located at Bourg-en-Bresse, France. It is composed of monastic buildings and a church, which were built at the beginning of the 16th century.
The Brou Monastery was the inspiration of Margaret of Austria who built it to as tribute to her husband, Philibert le Beau who died just three years after marrying Margaret. The monastery was designed to house the tombs of Philibert, Margaret and Philibert's mother, Margaret of Bourbon.

  • Great video, as usual! I would love it if you could do more about the great buildings of Europe, like these two (This one and Keriolet). But in truth I'm just happy watching each new one as it arrives!

  • thanks again for really interesting vids!
