  • OK, OK, OK.....

Ya, was still kind of new to wheeling, and wasn't a hard section, so we were trying to take more tech lines that we could.

And yes, no lockers. I was waiting to re-gear the axles and do lockers at the same time.

But also was thinking about putting Chevy axles.

I did all the SAS work myself, and traded my old truck for all the parts to do it, so was cheap.

I needed up rolling the truck in the snow, and now have a '91 4runner body, with Chevy axles, locked and geared, crossover

  • where is the 89 4runner and the sami???

  • this is the '89 runner, the '85 is in the backround. and the sammy went before me. thanks for checking my vid though.

  • Wow you learn something new everyday I quess. I did'nt know they still made this body style in 89 I thought it stopped in 88. So after your reply I looked it up on google and they made both your style and the more rounded style in 89. Well with that said very cool video and post some with the 85 and sami in it that would be cool. And thanks for the respectful reply.

  • ya, think they change the body style in march of that year, and we havent posted the vid of the sammy yet, but you can catch my bro's '85 if you search "4runner at Ave. D"

  • Looks good man but no locker! WTF?

  • you should drive a truck like that with more balls it looks pretty capable

  • No front locker? Im not trying to flame... but a SAS with axle gussets (in vid) is anywhere between $2k to $5k depending on how much you build. You couldnt afford a $200 lunchbox? or a $700 arb? all that work to SPIN? If you broke something... sorry i said anything. Im just trying to figure out the logic. really clean truck either way.

  • Damn, my Tonka is made out of plastic and human powered.

  • Monster energy drink decal for the EPIC FAIL!

  • why would you need him spotting you? that had no difficulty at all....must of been your first time out LOL

  • be a man follow your own lines.

  • nice ride brother i still got to upload some of my vid's but i was wondering what kind of roof rack do you got it looks pretty light i hate the heavy ones.

  • I checked out that vid of your brothers 4runner and all I have to say is you seem to roll with a great family. Keep it up and stay safe on those trails dude.
