lol. I'm from Humboldt. I've lived here forever, back when Town & Country used to be Piggly Wiggly. Humboldt has really changed in the past 20-something years, huh? Btw I live over on North Street, behind the Pizza Hut on East End. The Strawberry Festival is coming soon.

chanced upon this video....i have Humboldt as nickname here at youtube. It's funny how many places bear the name of this renowned German scientist of the XIX century, Alexander von Humboldt. As he travelled in Mexico, Central and South America, his name is almost everywhere (e.g. I'm Argentinian and there's a Colonia Humboldt in Santa Fe, Argentina). Alexander had a brother, Wilhelm, who was a great diplomat, philologist and educator. Regards from BA.
