Yeah the videos are compressed so the picture and sound then get lower quality..I was looking at maybe buying this cam..how does it look on high quality? and how does the sound come out like? im looking to buy it mostly for recording myself on guitar. the camera that ive used in my vids doesnt really capture the sound very well and it always comes out very quiet even when the room is super loud

no, this is web quality mode. plus, you must take into account that when you're uploading the video to a service, they may alter the final output and thus the quality of the video unless they specifically have a component for HD or high quality videos.
