@x0xSOLEx0x Hatchery Wyandottes, sorry, will always look that skinny. Trust me, I've had some for 3 years now, and you should consider comparing them to heritage and/or show type ones. Like the ones from Paul's Poultry. He has what Wyandottes should look like! :)

@Illiasc Actually, when they are very young (and that bird looks less than six months old) they do have a "rangy" look, as do most other chickens. I call it the "awkward teenage phase." My own Wyandottes are in this stage right now, and all my other breeds also go through this phase.

When i was in El Salvador we had a variety silver laced rhode islands, I would say every chicken type. they all scurried around and layed eggs.

They are not called "Wyandotte Dot" chickens, and they certainly shouldn't look as skinny and rangy as that bird. . .

My silver Lace hens are entirly back with only a few lace feathers on them, if they have chicks will they also be entirly black or will they look like the hen in this vidio?
