Once i Was is one of my friends' favourite songs and his brother does it very well. But his brother doesn't have a camera or is too lazy to upload it so i thought i'd do it. And if Chris takes his hand off the plough de francaise and looks me up it'll be a nice surprise. I understand this all means nothing to about six billion of the population and i truely class myself with them.

  • tim buckley would approve....heart felt....you have brought the song back to life.....one can tell you know, really know the song.....glad to have heard you sing this....we only live on thru the rememberance of the living, and so, tim is still with us. thank you.

  • Very well done....Great Voice You have

  • Best version yet. So laid-back.

  • Thanks very much

  • I like this best among the covers I've seen/heard of this song. Your laid-back, slow and meditative reading works pretty well, though at a cost of some of the pathos and drama of Tim's original. pwaltersabc has a recent cover that seems to reach a little more for that, and kind of hints at a melody exploration that is also intriguing but just is too tentative and uncertain to really get there. (but take a look!). thanks for sharing, and go tape your friend's brother!
