  • I completely agree with their message, but most of them are not talented dancers

  • I find it absolutely insane how so many ballet dancers in these comments have a stick up their ass.

They are PARODYING classical ballets. The women of the Big Ballet CAN dance. They are technically proficient in ballet. Sit the fuck down and stop taking ballet so damn seriously. I say this as a ballet dancer myself.

  • yeah i get there making an point an all, that but would you really pay to watch hours of fattys thumping about on a stage in tutus !?

  • @herrohxx They're not parodying the art aspect of ballet, but the convention of all ballet dancers being stick-thin. They're making their message through dancing ballet without the figure of a traditional ballet dancer.

  • I wish there was a good place in the Athens, Ga area for someone like me who is out of shape and overweight, due to a major ankle injury, to learn to dance. I used to dance and I loved it!

  • why are they parodying ballet...? making fun of art? I don't get it.

  • I saw this group and they were brilliant

  • @722kelseyrae its a parody, and they are making a point

  • @rachel1161979

If you are taking it as a serious ballet, you are obtuse and missing the point.

  • In the first scene, they weren't even pointing their toes properly. Nor were they turning out whatsoever. These two skills are the basics of which every little girl acquiring to be a ballerina must learn. If even those two things cannot be obtained, I'm afraid I cannot take this as a serious ballet, comedic parody or not, big-sized dancers or not.

  • @antisocialist87 Truth of the matter, I think this is a blessing. I'm in agreement with you. Ballet is beautiful and I desire to become a dancer, but weight has always worried me. Seeing this does not make me think "Oh, no, I don't have to trim up or work hard, I can be a fat slob and still do it". No, it makes me think, "If they can, why can't I? If they can put in the work, and love their bodies, and be graceful and beautiful, despite what most people think, why not?" I adore this. I truly do.
