How to Bar Lace A Shoe
Hey guys. My name is Nick and today I'm going to do a how-to video on showing you how to bar lace, which can be done on a skate shoe for athletic purposes, or to clean up a simple office shoe. For starters, you want to find the center of the lace. And then you want to make sure that you're running the lace from the outside of the shoe to the inside of the eyelet, here. Then you just pull it, secure. So for the first loop, you want to skip the first eyelet and go ahead and jump to the second eyelet and pull it tight so that it will look a lot like that. And on the opposite side, you want to go ahead and jump to the first eyelet, pull it tight, and then go ahead and run it through to the first eyelet on the other side. Now, you should have two laces on one side. Now, the lace that's already on the outside, you'll go ahead and directly loop it over to the next hole on the other side of the shoe. Now, you're just going to repeat that same pattern You're going to skip two on one side and one on the other. So after you repeat that process, you have extra lace. So there's a couple things you can do. You can tie it behind the tongue. You can knot it and cut it off. Or you can tuck it in a removable foot bed, if you have one. So now, you know how to bar lace.
