This is the 1st loaded test from the new Wolsingham Depot. It was hauled by Colas and utilise the usual 100 ton coal wagons, 19 on this occasion. If these trips are successful then regular services will commence in the following week initially at the rate of three trains per week It is understood that these early trips will be to and from Scunthorpe. This footage was taken at 11:57 16.06.2011 at Primrose Hill west of Bishop Auckland on The Weardale Railway Line. Max speed 15mph dropping to 5mph for the 'dip' in the line!

  • The Colas Rail livery is very smart! reminds me a little of the old Load Haul livery.
