Jade is making great progress and doing well as a tripod dog. This video was taken 13 days post amputation of her front leg. She is adjusting much better than anyone expected. She 's getting stronger every day. We were very concerned about her quality of life or how it would be changed when we were imformed that she would need her leg amputated. It was the hardest decision of our life. Needless to say it was the best decision for all of us especially Jade. She is happy, no longer in pain from the tumor and is getting around just fine. Jade is doing everything that she could once do prior to losing her limb. She's a true blessing and is going to battle and win the disease that strikes so many of our beloved pets.

  • I understand love for the dog, but this is tourchouring for you and dog!! I would sleep the dog, this would be immposible for me to watch live..

  • This is not just love for a dog, but a living being. It took multiple consultations, education on the disease, tripod dogs and several examinations to insure this was in her best interest. The same careful consideration was used as if it were a family member. Thanks to modern medicine and the ability to diagnose and treat cancer we were able to save her life. She is doing everything she did with 4 legs on 3. This is a handicap that so many humans and animals face.

  • Hello,

I wish you all the best with your dog! I know the feeling or thought of loving something so dear. Sadly our Jade passed away on 12-13. She was doing just great, but the cancer came back aggressively in several areas of her body. We are devastated, but know we did what we could for her. I didn't not want her suffering and medical treatment was not an option at this stage. She gave a great fight and we had a wonderful 10 months since her diagnosis. All the best to you and your dog!

  • This is such an inspiration especially on this day! Our Dog was admitted this morning to have her front left leg removed. Watching Jade gives me great hope that our Susie-Bee will be pulling through this just fine. Jade and Susie seem to have very similar doganalities. Jades comes shining through in each video and similarly Susie has a zest for life. Thank you for sharing this and may the girls live for many years to come. Amazing, inspiring Dogs!! All my love to Jade .... Thank You! Peace!

  • @mokhkw .. Ok, your choice, respect that

  • @supralisha Of course not, buy another dog!!

  • @BubaEliminator87

If this owner put their dog down and gave up, shouldn't they also give up on life? Because isn't that what life is about...? Taking chances and to take a chance with something like this is 1000% worth it.

  • Inspirational!

  • @ BubaEliminator87- you have to view it from the dog's perspective, not through human eyes ;) Yes, it's hard on the dog and the owner, but it's amazing how well they adapt. I see a happy, pain free dog and I don't feel tortured, I feel inspired! My Rottie Kwame has just had the same thing done at about the same time and he's doing fine, loving life and not perturbed in the slightest.
