This song is a rendering of an incident from Heer Ranja. The first meeting of heer and Ranja after he crosses the River Chenab (Chena) .patn chena = the Banks of the Chenab. Heer is unhappy initially because he lies down on a diwan normally reserved for her (the daughter of the local landlord) - but after she sees and fall in love. So in this song she is being concillatory. Listen carefully. There is always meaning in what we sing - sometimes deep meaning.
