  • @cmcb06 --probably because she had a lot of plastic surgery later in life that went wrong--her own son says she looked like a sort of Frankenstein after all the plastic surgery---see the movie "Calling Hedy Lamarr"

  • @32doors --yes-- he makes a lot of stuff up--

  • Bald guys talk too much.

  • He is a gay.

  • very very interesting. Who'd have thought that one woman could be one of the most beautiful women in history, one of the great screen legends and a genius! To think by eavesdropping she then developed the idea and saved our lives. What a woman!

  • "Dave McClure" is a terrible public speaker and an inaccurate one to boot. Half of those "facts" he mentions never happened.

Of course the story of Hedy was fascinating and even he couldn't screw it up completely. What a woman.

  • Hedy never resided in a nursing home, she resided in her own home until the time of her death although as years went by she became somewhat of a recluse. According to a few neighbors of hers the only time she left her home was at night to check her mail. A cane in one hand a flashlight in the other. Just a little tidbit of fyi

  • Hedy Lamarr was discovered by Luis B. Mayer not Cecil B. DeMille. Also I don't believe she ever lived in a nursing home, but I could be wrong.

  • According to the literature, including Hedy's own website, her patent expired in about 1959 and was therefore not sold to the cell phone companies.

  • Check it out. I'm the first one to post a comment. Just got done watching Samson and Delilah for the first time in many years. And Hedy was a beautiful woman. Her and Vivien Leigh could have been sisters. She was beautiful and intelligent.
