  • As a PB fan from gospel then back to EW&F/Phil Colins(Easy Lover) to PMG with this song, Philip Bailey's impressive career has inspired many. Thank for this video, but thank you Pat and Philip for giving us something to remember.

  • Thanks for the video...great job

  • @SteveG1963 I didn't know that Pt was inspired by EWF. That is so cool because they are my top favorites. since I was a teenager, I loved EWF. discovered Pat in late twenties...Also, Lyle wrote something for System of Survival ...EWF album...Their music is from the heart

  • this is pretty with philip's vocals, never heard any words with this until now!! thanks for this upload!!!

  • 1st time hearing this and nice both versions

  • @SteveG1963 As you know that's Pat Metheny playing on this song-no one else can play it like Pat the original composer-you're comparing apples and oranges when you say better because this is as I said before still pat's composition it just has added vocals by Phillip.

  • @SteveG1963 You're exactly right that the instrumental is clearly better. However, this version does get better on a second listening.

  • According to the notes in the Pat Metheny Songbook, this song was inspired by the harmonies of Earth Wind and Fire. I like Phil and EWF but I think the original instrumental on 'We Live Here' (1995) is much better. It's on YouTube but for some reason, I can't link to it.
