On Apr. 8, 2011, U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives and former Speaker of the House, reflected on her career and the importance of public service during the inaugural Alan D. Solomont lecture, part of the 10th anniversary celebration for the Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service.
The lectureship is named in honor of Alan D. Solomont, ambassador to Spain and Andorra; entrepreneur, philanthropist and political activist; and Tisch College founding board chairperson, Tufts alumnus and trustee emeritus.

Also, when it comes to upholding the values that are set within how important middle class working Americans are to our country, nothing speaks more in lines with this then enormous amounts of legislation that was brought forth over the last 2 years when Leader Pelosi served as Speaker of the House of Representatives. Again legislation to protect the Middle Class!
