Unfortunately, no good deed goes unpunished. Don't feel you're being selfish for wanting something for yourself, especially wanting to have a birthday party. The good always get less, if anything, than they deserve. Your strength will get you thru this. Just think where you might be hadn't it been for your being strong.
Dear Hoover I know your heart is breaking and filled with sorrow. I am much in the same position, but what helps me is that I listen to a video on youtube by Russ Taff called "Praise the Lord" everyday and it makes my burdens seem that much mor bearable as my heart becomes filled with joy and love-God bless and take care.
Hoover, Stay strong and remember you are not alone. There is always someone in life that is richer and someone always poorer, someone always that has it easier and someone has it harder. Your Mom is happy with just you. Find a song to sing or a poem to read for her. Your surrounding in the video looks great. Looks like the sun is shining in the window.
a couple of these comments tick me off. she's obviously in pain, she needs us to help her pray, not lecture her that she doesnt need more money she needs to learn how to spend the money she has (what a jerk! how do you know what she needs to do?) and that she just doesnt have enough faith in God (one of those as long as you have faith everything will be peachy people who dont know anything about life) instead of implying its her fault, pray for her like a Christian SHOULD!! GOSH thats so rude.
There is nothing selfish about wanting to celebrate your birthday! Make the best with what you've got.
