@vartotrad I really agree with you at how being watched as you are dying of a terminal illness could cause a great deal more discomfort. I think the 'alone' in this circumstance is in the fact that no one cared about him in death. No one found him or retrieved his life time belongings or probably gave him a proper burial. That to me is the biggest loss in life. As they showed belongings hit the bin but the impression you made on the world or someone in it is what counts. He only needed one friend

@liv38ig I bet it pays extremely well though.

Perhaps he didnt want to know anyone because he was so angry at the world and depressed. Maybe all the stuff we consider trash he felt was comforting to have around. Not everyone is the same and not everyone has a healthy mind set especially when they know they are dying. Just my opinion.

Rest In Peace Walter. May you have peace....

@Lilcub79 i totally agree our cousin contracted hiv when he was hit by a car and received tainted blood back in the 70s so and my mother got it a few years back from her boyfriend so dont judge if it happened to you would you want people calling you a junkie and a fag
I had a neighbor who commited suicide.. We .. ( us and other neighbors ), had no idea he sufferred from depression and feel very bad to say the least that maybe we could've done something. .talking to him, visiting him, helping him.. etc. but we had no idea.. until it was too late. Please ppl. get to know your neighbor.s. someone might need help, and even visiting and letting them know you care could save a life.

Some people actually prefer privacy during their final moments. I certainly wouldn't want to be seen talking incoherently, vomiting, coughing, spitting, bleeding, gasping for air, soiling myself, passing gas, etc. Don't assume death just happens in a fully dignified manner by saying goodbye to your relatives and closing your eyes, or in whatever such way you may have read about in a novel.
