Journey through Time and Space

Journey through Time and Space was a collaboration between research technologist Tim Shear, visual artist, Ana Carvalho and a composer, Pedro Lima. The physical interface of this installation was dance based. The pressure sensitive tiles controlled the visual elements through interaction with feet, hands or knees. The composed audio score was controlled via a motion sensor detecting upper body movement. The work intends to make the audio-visual technologies characteristic to VJ culture accessible to a wider audience and to allow the participants to experience VJing through a collective live-jam session.
