What a hauntingly beautiful melody line is played by the oboe. My late husband was a professional oboist and when I am quiet and listening to this music, it evokes thoughts of our life together and my admiration for his achievement in music. The oboe is a very challenging instrument that few are able to master. Good job.

Too slow? . .too fast? I find it just exactly right and one of my favorites for some time now. I call it exquisite, heavenly . . and guaranteed to boost my soul. I play it often. Speed is interpretative. I cannot imagine it faster OR slower! I even like that the soloist shows human emotion in his body actions. Nervousness is fine in the face of performing such glorious music in public. He puts his soul into this and that is what matters.
