The V&T last ran through Washoe Valley in 1950. Most of the track has been collected and sold and what is left are just remnants of some old trassels between Washoe Valley and Pleasant Valley.

  • @gpgofast What a shame. I was hoping to go by Monday to see if anything was left.

  • great video...makes you wonder how old the lumber is....I love looking up abandon lines and tunnels on youtube...road bed that used to be....in Virginia city station, the history plaque states there were over 100 trains arriving and departing from there at the peak...guess they went over this bridge...and how many people crossed over it too! thx for posting...

  • I presume this is the original route from Carson up to the Central Pacific (now Union Pacific) Reno yard? If the new V & T wants to use this route, most of the bridges and trestles would have to be built anew.

  • totally breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!

  • how do i get there?
