We recognized 60 under privileged honor roll students who have excelled in school in spite of their economic and home situations. The following school selected were Carol City Elementary, Holmes Elementary, Lenora B. Smith Elementary, Lillie C. Evans Elementary, Allapattah Middle, and Carol City Middle School. Transportation was provided by Aventura limo services. Each child was given a $200 gift card to spend at Toys R Us after the shopping spree they were treated to lunch at The Big Cheese. The trip ended with a meet and greet with Udonis Haslem at the American Airlines Arena where he signed and took pictures with each child.
