This is a fantastic and super positive benefit concert featuring some of the world's top artists, who all support stopping the spraying of toxic chemicals in California and across the nation. The issue is not about the light brown apple moth, but rather about the aerial spraying of chemicals contained in micro-plastic spheres, which has already been proven to cause asthma (and other serious medical issues)in the communities that have been sprayed. The spray is intended to disrupt the fertility of the light brown apple moth, even though top scientists say this program will not work and will only harm people, pets and food/water supplies! Please get involved with any of the organizations we've listed, to learn more about what this is about and why we all need to stop the spraying!

  • I am against spraying Insecticides too! Guess what, the state is spraying a phermone, which is not an insecticide! FYI, the phermone is safe. The statistic about 600 people developing asthma doesnt make sense, the CDFA's website has a paper documenting these cases, and finds inclusive evidence that the sprayings are related to the development of asthma. The state is realy looking out for the livelihood of farmers, and we should be proud that they are taking care of this now and not later.

  • Thanks for your comment and for your support of farmers. No one supports family farms more than our Organic Living with Hippy Gourmet TV series. However, the pheromone they sprayed and want to spray is contained in a new type of plastic nano-sphere which is less than 5 microns in size. This tiny plastic container sticks to everything it hits and is very easily inhaled. Why the need to spray a moth that has sufficient natural predators, and has been here since 1950 without any real issues?
