This is my DPS, comments are welcome. I learned this from a combination of Roberto Giobbi's 'Card College Vol 3', Jason England's DPS vid and Expert at the Card Table by Erdnase.

  • My one criticism would be your eagerness to proceed from the move. If you watch a proficient card technician handle the diagonal palm shift, you'll notice the sequence mirrors how it really should look. The card is put in the deck, squared up,

Think...if you didn't do the move, but pushed a card into the deck then immeadiatly adjusted your sleeves, it would look VERY unnatural. There should be a pause between the shift and the next movement.

    Good work nonetheless.

  • You are absolutely right! I haven't watched this vid since i put it up and i can see exactly what you mean. I'll have to re film this and show you my progress.

  • Lolz at how much more you pushed up other sleeve, everything else looked good just take it slow

  • very good keep with it i have yet to learn the diagonal shift.

  • Would be great to see!

  • I can close me eyes and still hear the steal. There should be no sound what so ever. If you read C.C. Vol. 3 there is a great tip in there that says to keep the card leveled until it is clear of the deck.

  • interesting ive never seen a lefty DPS:D

But anyway, it seems you have the basic mechanics down you just need to watch finger flutter when you do the move. I can tell your hand is doing something "fishy" because it flexes as you steal the card out.
