An update to my previous comment. I've been experimenting with the GR-55 and GR-20 using a Multiac Nylon SA guitar. It is my opinion that the GR-55 does not work as well as the GR-20 with this guitar. I've tried for several days to tweak the GK settings to get some halfway acceptable performace out of the GR-55, but it always seems to play extra notes regardless of settings or how cleanly I play. However, the GR-20 works properly with minimal adjustment to my playing style. Just my .02

I'm under the impression that this synth uses a special pick up, so the issue of single coil vs. humbuckers is moot.

well forget about getting the korg kronos,I'll just stick with the Microkorg and my 8 string guitar with my midi pickup and just play the piano parts on my guitar

@MrChaficy Make your own?
I really appreciate this. I recently bought a Godin Multiac Nylon SA and a Roland GR-55. I was about to return the GR-55 because the sounds I was getting were awful. After seeing your video and how good it sounds it forced me to do some more research to figure out why....It turns out I hadn't selected the proper pickup type and scale length. Can you confirm that you are using the Piezo-R pickup type and a 648mm scale length in your GK settings for the Multiac?

@Nelsonisms Yes, that's exactly the settings I'm using. I'm not much of a tweaker when it comes to the GR-55 and VG-99 and a lot of people hassle me asking me for my specific settings. The most important thing is setting the scale length correctly and, of course, the pickup type - though you can vary this if you are finding some patches work better with other pickup settings. Playing a guitar synth is nothing like playing a guitar - you have to adapt your style and play as cleanly as possible.

Very nice, especially considering you are gently fingerpicking. Do you find the low notes to have a lot of latency?

@audiotrax2000 It's pretty responsive actually. I'm not the best finger picker, but the duff notes on this were caused by human error and not the unit. However, put a bass guitar (see my other video) into the GR-55 and the tracking on the low strings is very bad.

Well, greats realistics effects, but the sound does't seem to be synchrone with your hand, is it normal ? are you plugged on your computer (Windows)?

@Maherylevrai I suggest you watch again as the audio and video are perfectly in sync...
