The Story Of The Eagle

I am in my 40's and can retire from my city job as a correction officer after 20 years of service. I had to make a choice, stay in a dead end negative job or retire and do something I always wanted to do. I chose to put my papers in and search for something different, something better for me. Many think I am crazy to leave a good paying job and take my chances in a bad economy. but I think and feel I am doing what is right for me, in order to keep my soul alive and my truth alive. I will change.

I read your story with great interest. I had heard this years ago. I had no idea it wasn't true. Still, I think it shows that there may be times in our lives that we must make changes in order to overcome, to live and not die. I think your story was great and I don't think you did a dis-service to the Eagle. You just used them for an example.

I'm an eagle! In my 40's Wrong choices had led me to have my wings stuck to my chest, I decided to change, I decided to fight for my life...left my country, left my friends, left my family, left my job, and started a new life...I not only saved my life, I have the most rewarding, beautiful life I could ever dream if.

That was very cool but it needs some music with it :(

@AquaCarb hi. I saw that some people got hung up on the idea that the info was false... but I think it's an inspiring story and maybe you should redo the video;
When you state facts and they turn out to be false, ppl will have distrust in you; but if you would like to bring forth a message, it is sometimes better to use metaphors, symbols and life experience.
That's why if you make it in a form of a fable, ppl will focus on the lesson of the story, not the trivial details.
peace

@fernandoluis7 I hope your decision got you on a fruitful journey. It was a brave think to do and I truly hope from my heart that it has turned out to be a transformation to the better.
This is bs! I am an eagle expert and I know that no such thing happens! There beak and talons remain sharp until they die of old age! And how could they survive for 5 months without food or water!? Huh just what I thought! Where did u get this crap!? Wikipedia?!

I don't think this is cute at all. It's not true and makes absolutely no sense.
I love eagles and you have done them a disservice with your banality.

While it's a cute metaphor, it would be better if you used an animal that actually *does* remove part of itself as it grows. Eagles do no such thing. How ridiculous.
Maybe you should do this with a cockroach, or something. They actually *DO* shed their exoskeleton and grow bigger with each moult.

@tianlin If you read under my description you will read that I found the information to be false and there is a link to snopes explaining why.
