Lava from Kilauea has finally reached the Pacific Ocean after traveling about eight miles from the TEB vent on the East Rift Zone. Lava had not been reaching the ocean since the start of the year. The ocean entry is located outside the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in the Kalapana area near the end of Highway 130.
