Actually most male dogs do know they sired their pups because the instinct remains after copulation. The only male dogs that don't know that they sired their own pups are the French Bulldogs due in part to their short genitals which make them unable to copulate with the dams. The female is always artificially inseminated unless bred with a different breed. But even so the father still won't kill his pups. In fact, most male dogs raised with proper care will tolerate any pups.

well the vast majority of the time I hear that the Male dogs do not know they sired those puppies, like they do not know they are theirs, and will try to kill them

Although it's true that male dogs generally tolerate their own pups, the statement that "domestic dog fathers show little interest in their pups" is very often misinterpret as "male dogs do not care about their pups" but in truth, it all depends on the father's personality, temperament, & living condition. Some are quite protective over their pups while others pay less attention to them and only tolerate them as friends. Male feral dogs & dingoes do care for their pups.
